Update: The Creation Kit is now available for download, including a free bonus release of Bethesda's official Hi-Res texture pack for the game.

The Hi-res texture pack for the game can be downloaded here, but do make sure you have at least 4GB of RAM installed on your PC, otherwise.. expect lots of crashes to desktop. The CK can be located in your Steam library under View > Tools > Creation Kit.

As an added bonus, Bethesda & Valve have released a familiar pal to join you on your adventures through Skyrim.

To celebrate the opening of the Steam Workshop for Skyrim, Valve and Bethesda have teamed up to bring you the Space Sphere mod, which'll let the aggressively space-centric little robot tag along on your adventures in Tamriel.
