If you've got a new PC copy of Dragon Age II then BioWare are offering a download code for you to get Mass Effect 2 for free on your PC.

If you don't have a new copy of Dragon Age II, you can still get a code.

Check out the BioWare offer for the full details of how to claim.

That's a surprisingly generous offer, now if only I didn't already own Mass Effect 2. :(

Maybe they've heard how many people have been hating on DA 2...

There must be a catch. We're talking about EA here, the gaming devil. You probably agree to sell your soul in the End User Agreement or something...

Only if you got it on PC? Now I'm sad.

No, I have Dragon Age 2 on Xbox 360 and everything works... Kinda.

I downloaded ME2, and now I'm having problems installing it -.- The first thing I get is an error.

Apparently this is not uncommon - I think the BioWare forums have a troubleshooter thread but I'm not 100% sure about that

So, apparently, my computer can run ME2, if just barely (it renders at 800x600). Regardless, I'm pleased.

So I finally got it working and I asked EA to give me the DLC's I bought on the console.

I think it will work ;)

It won't. DLC on consoles are Microsoft points while on PC they are Bioware points.

Having a chat with EA 'experts' did help some people on the forums... EA somehow activated the DLC's on the PC for them, and I had a chat with someone too.

This is what she/he wrote:

"It seems that you have lot more DLC more than expected so we have the resources to avail all these DLC to your PC are with the seniors so to provide you the better assistance in this case I have to move your issue to the experienced Agents to rectify it in efficient way. This is the best I can do for you if you agree. Soon you will be contacted through email about that."

I didn't get an email yet though...
