Gary Deihl graduated with a BA in History with an emphasis in ancient Near Eastern studies. He has also studied a wide range of ancient cultures' mythologies and religions as well as their respective societies and history. All of his studies in ancient history and mythology profoundly influence his writing and he incorporates much of that learning into his own fictional mythos.
